On Monday 14 October Minister Gareth Ward hosted a morning tea at Parliament House to kick off Carers Week 2019 and to thank carers throughout NSW for their ongoing selfless and valuable work.
Carers Week is all about acknowledging and recognising carers for the unpaid care they provide to the important people in their lives.
Carers provide regular support to people with disability, chronic illness, mental health issues, dementia and those who are frail aged. Currently there are more than 904,000 carers living in NSW enriching the lives of those around them.
We interviewed some carers about what it means to them and how they seek support, both in their careers and personal lives. Watch to find out more.
